Loop Scanner Loop scanner is a machine which keeps the hot material stable during the process of rolling which is very much required in high speed mills to absorb RPM fluctuations in motors of mills .The unit is clever mechanical design with sophisticated automation to handle delicate process. In process, Loop scanner lifts the hot material if there is some slack in the material. Basically the loop scanner will lift the hot material thus giving a little tension to the material so that any miss roll can be avoided. This unit is also some time used to break the speed by using motor or other mechanism. Unimeec provides this clever automation to avoid miss rolls and thus reducing stand still time of the mill. Hot material Measurement System (HMMS) This system measures the dimensions of the material in rolling process. This unit by using infrared sensors estimates the dimension of the rolling material .The material can be from finished pass or from intermediate passes. This process basically gives feedback of the dimensions of the materials so that the material’s monitoring can be done to avoid any accident due to over-sizing.
